Kingdom of the Spiders II

Somewhere in New Mexico, there is a quiet, peaceful town about to be cast into chaos. A place where irresponsible experiments with nature cross the threshold of ancient Indian sanctity and set loose an army of tarantulas. An army whose sole purpose is revenge.

The United States government is experimenting with ELF technology – (Extremely Low Frequency), right near the town of Los Dos, only a couple of miles from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Overtly, it’s seeing the effect of vibrations or oscillations on plant life.

Can it be used to stimulate to faster growth? Bigger growth? etc. Covertly, ELF is being radiated through the brains of animals and in one scene, the brain of a convicted killer, sentenced to death row.

The net effect of ELF actually drives intelligent beings completely berserk. It also affects insects. The local Navajos are angry with the military, because their medicine-man has had a vision of the “sacred places” being disturbed. Plus, the military wants a piece of land on which sits a sacred old Indian “kiva” – a ceremonial circular structure that traditionally is a “window into another world.” The medicine man predicts bad things to come of this. Todd Krugman, a young reporter from Chicago has been sent to write a story about the local Indians. He’s on Route 285, which runs through Santa Fe, New Mexico. For Todd Krugman, this road will lead him to a world of terror. Tonight, finds himself smashing into a “creature” on a deserted highway in the rain. It’s only the beginning……
